The Role – Financial Planner
Role Type – Permanent (advisory), full time (35 hrs per week) with hybrid working offered after initial training period.
Starting Salary – from £45k depending on experience

About the role
We are looking for a driven, ambitious and experienced Financial Planner to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing Financial Planning firm.
The role is to competently provide financial advice in a compliant manner to clients within the FCA’s rules and guidelines and according to TMFP’s rules and procedures.
What you’ll be doing
Main Responsibilities
- Will full admin and paraplanning support, you will be managing a portfolio of existing and new clients.
- You will support your clients in achieving their financial goals, developing Financial Plans, Product Recommendations and guide them throughout.
- You will be analysing clients’ existing products and communicating effectively with your clients to understand their needs and objectives.
- Identify any other needs the client may have i.e legal advice.
Other Responsibilities
- Undertake research to identify suitable solutions to meet the clients’ needs and objectives.
- Ensure all documentation, plans and records are maintained in a compliant manner.
- Develop client relationships with individuals that have been referred and contact potential clients in accordance with the firm’s guidance.
General Duties
- Work collaboratively with your team to provide your clients with a professional and seamless ongoing Financial Planning experience.
- Liaising with the Partners and clients to ensure the firms service commitments are met and wherever possible exceeded.
- Keep up to date with new product, technical or legislative changes within the marketplace.
- Comply at all times with the firm’s Compliance; Training & Competence; Anti-Money Laundering, Complaints and Data Security procedures.
- Comply at all times with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, the FCA Statements of Principle & Code of Practice and the relevant FCA rules at all times.
- Mentoring junior staff within the firm.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a competent, driven financial planner, someone who is a great communicator and able to engage and connect with clients. You will have the ability to communicate complex, technical advice in a clear and concise manner and gain commitment from clients.

Desirable Qualification or Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar role within a financial planning firm
- University degree and relevant Financial Planning qualifications and industry certification
